The Free Jacks lost out on what turned out to be a golden opportunity to capture top place in the Eastern Conference over the weekend. With RUNY and NOLA Gold both unexpectedly faltering (IMO, at least), the winner of the Free Jacks and Rugby ATL contest would find itself on top of the standings.
It was Rugby ATL that captured the early upper hand, taking advantage of a Beaudein Waaka handling error to put the Free Jacks under relentless pressure in the opening ten minutes. Rugby ATL needed several attempts but finally got on the board with a short range forwards try.
